Privacy Policy

This is a legal document last updated in April 2007 which sets out how Dating Dice handles data which identifies you. You should read it in conjunction with the Dating Dice Terms and Conditions, of which this Privacy Policy forms part.

Although our ability to provide service requires that we collect personal information about our customers, we take measures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of that information.

1. The information we gather and track
	Information gathered on registration. When you register for the Dating Dice, you provide your name, your movies, your games, your music, your email address, and some optional notes about yourself ("Registration Information"). They are available to you, and capable of being changed, through the My Personal Info page.
	To facilitate optimal use of the Dating Dice by Members, by means of a temporary "session" cookie. These cookies disappear when the Member’s browser session ends, or if the Member clicks the "Logout" text which appears on the Dating Dice.

2. What information do we collect and how do we use it?
	The over-riding principles we apply are these:

	Registration Information. 	Contact Details. We do not directly make your contact details (email address, full postal address and telephone numbers) available to anyone on any screen of the Dating Dice. The only legitimate way of making contact with a friend found on the Dating Dice is for a Full Member to send a message which we will send on the Member’s behalf. The email sent will include the sending Full Member’s email address so that the recipient can respond to the sender directly. This means by sending a contact message, the sending Member is disclosing his/her email address. Members may change their email address at any time through My Personal Details. Members' public Member Profile pages must not include their contact details (email address, full postal address and telephone numbers). If your email system automatically responds to a contact email, your email address will be revealed.
	Contacting you by e-mail. We may use your e-mail address for any purpose for which you provided it. We may also use it to respond to feedback given about our Site or Services, to provide you with any information you request, to confirm receipt of e-mails you have sent to us or if we need to contact you for any reason.
	Create a profile. We only record and publish (post) information that you provide directly to us as part of the Dating Dice.co.uk. All information (apart from your personal information) you provide when posting a personal profile will be accessible by anyone accessing the Internet. All areas relating to what information is publicly viewable will be clearly stated on our site. You have the option at any time to remove this information from the site. At no time will any personal contact information be disclosed to any member or persons. Please note that any person who is a user of our Site may access, download and print any information you provide. 3. Security and Use of the Site/Services
A person must be over the age of 18 to join Dating dice. We have security measures in place to protect our customer database and access to this database is restricted internally. However, it remains each Member’s responsibility:
	to protect against unauthorised access to My Personal Info;
	to log off or exit from the Dating Dice when not using it; and
	Always close your browser and log out once you have finished surfing the net to prevent other people gaining access to your information and correspondence.
	Posting of personal contact information is prohibited on DatingDice.co.uk. We take no responsibility for any personal contact information disclosed to other members in our network. Personal information includes information such as full names, telephone numbers and home addresses. Beware - if you voluntarily disclose personal information it may be collected and used by others. Take precaution!
	Be careful if you arrange to meet someone you have met online. Remember that people who engage in online communication may not be who they seem. If you do arrange to meet someone, make sure you meet them during the day or in a crowded place; tell a close friend or family member if you arrange to meet someone you have met online. Make sure you tell them where you are going and what time you expect to return.
